Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pour both cans of peaches (including the heavy syrup) into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Combine the yellow cake mix and melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix until crumbly. Evenly distribute the cake mixture over the canned peaches in the baking dish. Do not mix. Next, sprinkle the top with cinnamon.
Place in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy.
There are a few methods on how peach cobbler with cake mix should be prepared. Both place canned peaches in the baking dish, followed by cake mix, then butter. Some recipes call for evenly distributed slices of cold butter or melted butter on top of the cake mix (without mixing). Either of these methods will work. But, we've found that sometimes, there will be some dry spots in the cake. Ultimately mixing the melted butter with the cake mix is not that tedious of a step for better results.
