Not only is the delicious milkshake only available for about a month, but it's also not exactly the healthiest thing you can drink. If you're craving the Shamrock Shake during these off months, and don't want to feel guilty about it, try making your own low-cal version with this recipe.

In a blender, combine 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 ounce of vanilla protein powder, 1/3 cup spinach leaves, 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract, and about 6-10 crushed ice cubes. Blend at a high speed until it's smooth, stirring if needed, and then pour into a glass. The result is a filling and delicious shake with about one fifth of the calories in a Shamrock Shake from McDonald's.
