When you think of baking, delicious pastries and fluffy breads might come to mind, but long waiting times and multiple ingredients soon follow. Luckily, you can have all of those tasty baked goodies much more easily than you think! Try these super simple baking recipes with helpful shortcuts for the same great taste without all the steps!

    Marshmallow Frosting

If you don’t want the artificial taste of store-bought frosting and you don’t have the time to make your own, then this sweet cupcake recipe is perfect for you! Simply make cupcakes as you normally would, but set the timer to go off 5 minutes before they’re finished baking and then add a marshmallow to the top of each before allowing them to finish.

    Marshmallow Frosting

For the last few minutes in the oven, the marshmallows will melt into the perfect frosting.

    Super Simple Banana Bread

Banana bread is an amazing treat, but it requires over-ripe bananas to get that delicious taste. If you don’t want to wait for your bananas to ripen naturally, you can speed up the process by popping the banas into an oven preheated to 300 degrees for about 40 minutes.

    Super Simple Banana Bread

Once you have your ripe bananas, use a fork to mash 2-3 in a bowl with 1/3 cup of melted butter. Then, mix in a teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt, a beaten egg, a cup of sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 1/2 cups of flour. Pour the batter into a pan and bake at 350 degrees for an hour.

    Cookie Bowls

Easily upgrade any ice cream experience by serving it in a bowl made from cookie! You can make these bowls by turning a cupcake pan upside down and covering the mounds with cookie dough, then baking them as you normally would.

    Cookie Bowls

Give the bowls time to harden before filling them with ice cream or pudding. These are awesome birthday party ideas for kids, and I’m sure an adult party would eat them up too!

    Fancy-Looking But Simple Pie

To make your pie look super nice with barely any work, all you need is a beaded necklace. While your pie crust is still soft, press the necklace into the edges for a professional-looking crimped pattern.

Once the crust is ready, simply add the filling of your choice to the center and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

    Homemade Whipped Cream

Instead of buying the chemical-infused whipped cream sold in stores, you can easily make your own with just a jar, some heavy cream, and some sugar. Fill the jar about three-fourths of the way with the heavy cream and then sprinkle in a tablespoon of sugar.

    Homemade Whipped Cream

Screw the lid tight onto the jar, and then shake vigorously. After 3 minutes, you will have delicious homemade whipped cream.

    Cute Cupcake Design

Easily give your cupcakes a fancy design with just some powedered sugar and a piece of lace. Put the lace on top of the cupcake and then sprinkle on the powdered sugar.

Once you remove the lace, you’ll reveal beautiful cupcakes that appear professionally decorated. If you have a big enough piece of lace, this works great on cakes as well as long as you’re willing to forgo frosting.

    Spreadable Butter

Hard butter is never helpful. Either you want softened butter for a recipe, or to easily spread it onto toast. The key to getting perfectly soft butter is to microwave it at power level 2 for 8-10 seconds. If you are using a full stick then flip is over and do another 5 seconds.

    Spreadable Butter

Use your softened butter in your baking recipes, or just spread it on some toast without worrying about those infuriating tears or squishes.

    DIY Colored Frosting

You can get any color or flavor of frosting you want, as long as there’s a Jell-O version of it. Mix some vanilla frosting with your favorite Jell-O mix to add the color and flavor into the frosting. The more mix you add, the more vibrant and flavorful the frosting.

    DIY Colored Frosting

Add the colored frosting to your cakes or cupcakes for a sweet surprise at your next party. And since Jell-O packets are so cheap, it’s easy to experiment with different flavor and color combinations!
