September 5th was National Cheese Pizza Day so naturally, people took to Twitter to complain. Apparently, cheese doesn’t count as a topping, thus it lacks being a pizza at all because that logic makes total sense…
#NationalCheesePizzaDay shouldn't be a holiday because cheese pizza isn't real pizza.

A police station even chimed in with their thoughts, implying that only children like plain cheese. Ouch.
Happy #NationalCheesePizzaDay!

Said no adult ever.
Or, probably the most controversial comment of all, was this Twitter user claiming it more undesirable on the pizza yumminess chain than pineapple pizza!
I do not believe in chs pizza. I hate it like some ppl hate pineapple pizza, which i ❤ #NationalCheesePizzaDay

We mean, we can see the logic in thinking it’s strange that, with all the amazing things you can add to a pizza, you would still choose cheese, like one Twitter user pointed to.
When someone comes over, you decide to order pizza, and they just want plain cheese. #NationalCheesePizzaDay pic.twitter.com/AHCPoEcvgE

But in the end, it doesn’t seem that cheese pizza should get this much shade, it is the OG pizza afterall.
