  • 17 Foods That Will Help You Stay Fuller Longer

These foods make you feel full, that way you don't go after calorie-packed snacks and foods. These are all healthy options so you never feel bad about eating a little extra of them.

    Apples

Does an apple a day keep the hunger away? It can certainly help! Apples are packed with fiber, and fiber makes you feel full without added calories. A regular sized apple has around 4.5 grams of fiber.

    Avocados

Avocados are an excellent choice for a number of reasons. This ‘superfood’ is a great snack option because it will help keep you from reaching for that bag of chips. Each avocado has 13.5 grams of fiber to help you stay full during the day.

    Dark Chocolate

This may seem like an unhealthy option, but dark chocolate has plenty of benefits. Dark chocolate is more filling than its cousin, milk chocolate. Research also shows that it helps to protect the heart and brain, and reduces blood pressure!

    Eggs

If you want to stay full during your morning, try eating more eggs!  Eggs are full of protein and pack plenty of healthy calories to help ward off that late-morning stomach growling.

    Oatmeal

Oatmeal is another great option to start off your morning. Most oatmeal has 4 grams of soluble fiber in each serving. This helps you stay full and keeps your cholesterol levels balanced.

    Raspberries

Raspberries are a colorful option that packs plenty of benefits. This juicy fruit contains 8 grams of fiber per cup and is loaded with antioxidants.

    Kale

Kale is growing in popularity, and for good reason. It packs a lot of vitamins and nutrients in each cup. The 4.8 grams of fiber in each cup will keep you from being hungry for quite some time.

    Pears

Pears are loaded with 5.5 grams of fiber to keep you happy and full throughout the day!

    Carrots

Baby carrots are an easy, awesome snack. Eat seven of these delicious snacks and you will get loads of fiber. Carrots also contain beta-carotene, which turns into vitamin A and acts like an antioxidant.

    Almonds

Nuts are a great snack and an excellent source of healthy fat, protein and fiber.

    Broccoli

This green vegetable contains a wide arrange of nutrients, antioxidants and fiber. One cup of broccoli has 5.1 grams of fiber.

    Hummus

Three tablespoons of hummus grant you 2.7 grams of fiber. Dipping baby carrots into hummus is a great, healthy snack that will help you stay full for hours.

    Whey Protein

Whey is one of the two main proteins that are found in milk. Drop some whey protein into your milk and you can stay full for a while. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it contains loads of muscle-building protein!

    Yogurt

This diary option contains a good amount of protein and also helps burn fat. Try using nonfat greek yogurt for an added protein boost!

    Soup

Eating a low calorie broth soup is shown to reduce the amount of calories you intake during the meal. Soup is usually a great meal option, especially if you aren’t feeling too well!

    Mint

Mint is known for it’s pleasant smell, but it can also help decrease hunger! Next time you are craving that mint chocolate chip ice cream, opt for eating the real thing instead.

    Water

While this isn’t a food, water is essential at keeping your hunger at bay. Water helps your body function properly and fills you up — preventing you from frequent visits to the cookie jar!
