Love or hate it, the '90s were one magical time. Besides the AWESOME fashion and incredible music, the tasty, crave-worthy snacks were the true highlight of the decade. Sadly many of our favorites are no longer in production or sold in the U.S. Well turn that frown upside-down, because we have found the recipes for some of your favorite '90s snacks so you can once again savor those magical flavors that defined the decade.

    Dunkaroos

So simple, yet so amazing, this sweet snack was a favorite of pretty much everyone. Although they did have a few flavors, the original vanilla cookie with vanilla funfetti icing was definitely the tastiest. It’s so simple to make these at home, so you totally should. Homemade Dunkaroos

    Hi-C’s Ecto Cooler

Hi-C was the sugary, sweet and delicious juice box we all loved in the ’90s. In particular, the limited-edition Ecto Cooler was even better because it was neon green and featured Slimer on the box. Although it’s no longer in stores, you can recreate this Ghostbuster-themed juice at home (and now that you’re older add alcohol if you want)! Homemade Ecto Cooler

    Butterfinger BB’s

These bite-sized bits were a favorite of Bart Simpson (and his slingshot) and as fun to eat as they were delicious. Sure you can still get the full bar, but the BB’s always tasted better. Relive the magic and make this tiny treats yourself. Homemade Butterfinger BB’s

    Keebler Magic Middles

We’re not sure why these went away. What’s not to love about a soft, chewy shortbread cookie with a gooey, melt-in-your-mouth fudgy center? Nothing! Bring the magic back home by making these beauties yourself. Homemade Magic Middles

    Zima

Oh Zima. How we miss thee. Only the coolest cats had a Zima in their hands. Yet despite reaching cult status, this malt beverage lost its edge and is no longer in production. Good news for you is that you can recreate this refreshing classic at home (and yes, you must drink it out of a mason jar). Homemade Zima

    Jell-O Chocolate Pudding Pops

These creamy, chocolately frozen treats were way better than ordinary fudge pops. Homemade Jell-O Pudding Pops

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pies

Although there were a few TMNT themed foods (hello Ninja Turtles Cereal!), these vanilla pudding filled pies with the green icing glaze by Hostess was by far THE BEST. This homemade version will totally have you saying “cowabunga!” Homemade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pie

    McDonald’s Fried Apple Pies

Yes you can still get the baked apple pies, but they don’t hold a candle to the original fried version (go figure). Throw your diet to the wind and whip up this ’90s favorite ASAP. Homemade Dee-Fried Apple Pies

    Reese’s Cookie Crunch

It was genius: place a chocolate cookie INSIDE a Reese’s peanut butter cup for a crunchy twist on the classic candy. Apparently most people are purist, but it is quite easy to recreate this at home. Use this base recipe and simply add a chocolate wafer cookie to it. Bam. Homemade Reese’s

    Surge

This citrusy soda that had us bouncing off the walls for hours is something we all miss. Recreate the hype (and get a bit hyper yourself) with this homemade version. Homemade Surge

    The Flintstones Pebbles Push-Up

The Pebbles variety of this creamy, fun treat was the best because those “pebbles” were actually rainbow Nerds. Push up the fun factor by making this homemade orange push-up treat and sprinkle Nerds on top. Homemade Orange Push-Ups

    Viennetta Ice Cream

Introduced in the U.S. by Breyers, this luscious log-shaped treat consisting of ribbons of creamy ice cream and crunchy chocolate was the perfect summertime treat. Still a favorite in Europe, if your craving this dessert in The States you can easily make it yourself. Homemade Viennetta

    P.B. Crisps

A crispy cookie filled with a sweet peanut butter cream and shaped like a peanut: Planters at it’s finest. This treat didn’t stay around for long, but it definitely hasn’t been forgotten. This homemade version may not have the classic shape, but you’re in this for the flavor right? Homemade P.B. Crisps

    PBMax

These snack (aka: candy) bars where made with real peanut butter, a crunchy wholegrain cookie and were covered in milk chocolate. It didn’t stay on shelves long (apparently the Mars family didn’t care for peanut butter), but it isn’t hard to make these to keep on your own shelf. Homemade PB Max

    Sprinkled Chips Ahoy Cookies

Sprinkles are for winners, so it’s no wonder that they made an excellent addition to the already tasty Chips Ahoy. Be a winner yourself by adding sprinkles to this copycat recipe to relive the glory days all over again. Homemade Chips Ahoy

    Carnation Breakfast Bars

In an attempt to eat something healthier than our sugar-laden breakfast cereals, the go to was Carnation Instant Breakfast shakes or an easier (and tastier) alternative, the breakfast bars. With a healthy dose of chocolate, this homemade version is just as good as the original. Homemade Carnation Breakfast Bars
