Everything You Need To Know About First Watch, Pumpkin Pancakes And No Kid Hungry

    by Brooke Schmelder

    First Watch

Ordering a pumpkin pancake breakfast at your local First Watch will feed more than just yourself this fall. First Watch restaurants all over the nation are partnering with No Kid Hungry this September. For every Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast sold, 10 cents will be donated directly to benefit the Share Our Strength’s Dine for No Kid Hungry campaign. But First Watch’s desire to end child hunger doesn’t end there.

    What Is No Kid Hungry?

While 1 in 6 American kids struggle with hunger daily, the No Kid Hungry campaign works to remove barriers that stand between a child and the healthy food they need. No Kid Hungry is a campaign for the Share Our Strengths organization which is working to end hunger and poverty. The Dine for No Kid Hungry allows restaurants and their guests to participate in the campaign to make a difference.

When you dine at First Watch and order a Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast, you’re supporting grants, expertise, research and other support for local groups feeding kids across the country.

    First Watch Gives Back

First Watch has been increasing its contributions to the Share Our Strength organization for the past 10 years. Through their Pumpkin Pancake Breakfasts, First Watch has donated about $1.5 million to the No Kid Hungry campaign. But the restaurant’s pairing with Share Our Strength goes further than a fall promotional item. First Watch has pledged to continue to donate 25 cents from every kid’s meal sold to the No Kid Hungry campaign year round until every child has equal access to a healthy start.

    Project Sunrise

The restaurant’s caring nature pours into other favorite menu items, literally. When First Watch ventured to find the best coffee possible, they created Project Sunrise. As a breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant, First Watch quickly learned that who their coffee comes from is just as important as where. Project Sunrise is First Watch’s new coffee that supports an inspiring group of female coffee farmers in the Huila region of Colombia.

    2019 Fall Menu

Through coffee beans and pumpkin pancakes, First Watch’s fall menu is making a difference in everyone’s lives. The fall menu consists of classic fan favorites, such as the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfasts and the Million Dollar Bacon Shareable, and new treats to try. First Watch’s new fall menu items include the shareable Mixed Berry Toast, Braised Short Rib Benedict, and an addition to its handcrafted beverage lineup, the Carrot Crush juice.

First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot that has locations nearly nationwide. Check out your local First Watch this September and order Pumpkin Pancake Breakfasts to help benefit the No Kid Hungry campaign. If there’s not a First Watch near you, keep your eyes open! One might be soon.
