Tossing up a salad to serve with dinner is a classic side dish that usually everyone can indulge in. Salads are a terrific way to blend your personal tastes together in one bowl, but you can also spice things up with different vinaigrettes. Turning to a trusty strawberry vinaigrette recipe is an exciting way to bring something new to the table. I know that we’re all accustomed to strawberries really only showing up in our summer drinks, but this berry is much more versatile than you think. Drizzle something a little different onto your salad before dinner to give guests a hearty dose of greens, veggies, and fruit.

    What You’ll Need

    • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, chopped
    • 2 tablespoons of honey
    • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Steps

    • Wash and pit your strawberries.
    • Once the berries are washed, place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

    Additional Ingredients

To mix up the flavor a bit you can add a tablespoon of poppy seeds to your strawberry vinaigrette recipe. Though if you would rather omit the coarse addition to your vinaigrette then you can skip it altogether without any damage to your end product. You can also add a clove or two of garlic for a pungent addition to the dressing that won’t be too overpowering. You also don’t need to worry if you don’t have any apple cider vinegar lying around because you can use an equal amount of balsamic or white vinegar.

We all know that strawberry and lemon go well together so you can also add a bit of lemon juice to your vinaigrette to make things a bit more citrusy. But the good news is that even if you don’t want to add lemon to the dressing, your finishing mix won’t be affected.

Between making yourself daiquiris this summer or cooling down with classic strawberry banana smoothie, what can’t the strawberry improve? Liven up those greens with this strawberry vinaigrette that you can safely store in the fridge for up to three days. This little dressing brings the flavor without overpowering anything else, making it the perfect partner to your salad!
