How To Get Free Guacamole From Chipotle

Paying a little extra for Chipotle’s guacamole is totally worth it. Yes, your wallet takes a little hit in the short term, but adding a scoop of that green delicious treat definitely makes up for it. While you’ll probably fork over some extra cash for a guac side any day, this Tuesday the burrito chain is offering it free of charge. Here’s how you can get your Chipotle guac fix for free.

On July 31, Chipotle is offering a free guacamole side for all its customers in honor of National Guacamole Day. That’s right, you can stop by your nearest Chipotle chain this Tuesday and get a side of guac on the house.

According to the popular Mexican chain, the only requirement is that you purchase an entrée from Chipotle’s app or website. Once you do that, you can get a free side of guacamole wherever you want it.

Chipotle’s deal is a clever way to get customers to download and use their app — and they are not the first restaurant chain to come up with the idea. McDonald’s used a similar strategy, only they offered customers free fries once a week for the rest of the year if they downloaded their app. They also kicked in a burger for a buck.

With the Chipotle deal, you have to take a few more steps in order to score free guacamole. After downloading the app, simply create an account with the burrito joint, then order an entrée of your choice. Then add guac as a side and use the special code AVOCADO when you check out. The code can only be used once per order, so you can only get one free guacamole side on Tuesday.

The best part about ordering online is that you get to skip the lines. Just cross your fingers that there aren’t 100 people ordering at the same time as you.
