Those practicing the keto diet already need to worry about what kinds of food they can eat, whether it's a good move for them, and saying goodbye to some of the favorite foods. You may have had to swear off your go-to restaurants, but Starbucks no longer has to be one of them. The popular coffee chain has officially introduced a new keto-friendly drink that you can order.
The new drink is a carb and sugar-free spinoff of the Peach Citrus White Tea Infusion, which is a summer drink that's already been poured into dozens of cups this season. Spoon University reported that Starbucks is calling the new beverage the Peach Citrus White Tea. It's technically an unofficial menu item but that doesn't mean you can't get your hands on it.
Instagram users have been uploading thousands of photos, some of which include a guide on how to order. Walk up to your barista and request an unsweetened Peach Citrus White Tea with a bit of heavy cream, 2-4 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup, no water, and light ice. You can also tweak the recipe a bit by swapping vanilla syrup with cinnamon dolce or replacing heavy cream with some half and half. You can also request it iced!
With the introduction of this peachy keto drink, dieters have been finding even more ways to bring Starbucks back into their life. The infamous "pink drink" is another one you can indulge in that includes unsweetened passion tango iced tea, 2-3 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup, and heavy cream.
So there you have it. We know it's hard enough trying to stick with a new regimen, let alone one that requires such strict drinking rules and meal plans. But Starbucks can now safely be added back to the list of places you can go on the keto diet!
