The Definitive Ranking Of The Absolute Worst Oreo Flavors

Oreos are a modern marvel of junk food, but the worst Oreo flavors do more than just leave a bad taste in your mouth. They taint the Double-Stuf legacy with their overly sweet or weirdly sour flavors, so of course we had to try them all to figure which ones were poorly executed and which ones were just straight bad ideas.

    11. The Most Stuf

While Mega Stuffed may seem like a good idea at the store when you’re insanely hungry, imagine taking the next step in creaminess. The purposefully over-the-top creme filling is, well, a little much. Turns out there’s a fine line between tasty and oh-no-my-teeth-hurt, and these cross the line. Too much of a good thing is still too much, and that’s the case with The Most Stuf Oreos.

    10. Lemon

Sure lemon may be a little refreshing, but the Lemon Oreo is not remotely close to an original Oreo. The Lemon Oreo has lemon creme sandwiched between two golden cookies. It’s closer to a Vanilla Wafer, but who are we to judge? Oreo fanatics, that’s who. This is more bottom-shelf generic cookie than it is Oreo.

    9. Pumpkin Spice

Oh, pumpkin spice, everyone’s favorite fall flavor. While we do love pumpkin just like every one else, these Pumpkin Spice Oreos have too much pumpkin.

Yes, we said it. The golden cookie is packed full of pumpkin creme that just offers way too much of the fall spirit. But let’s be honest, we’ll probably end up buying them next fall, anyway. We just won’t enjoy them, even after eating the entire package.

    8. Red Velvet

    Oreo/Amazon

Okay, okay if you’re a red velvet lover, don’t hate us for this one. Personally, we can’t get enough of red velvet, but these Oreos were just red velvet mediocracy.

They just taste like bland chocolate (yes, we know that’s what red velvet really is) with a cream cheese filling that’s a little too overpowering for the rest of the cookie. The result is a kind of nauseating red velvet-ish sandwich that doesn’t make us want another.

But hey, it’s not the worst of the batch.

    7. Mint Oreo Thins

The fact that the name of these Oreos contains the words “thin” and “mint” causes a serious problem. If you’re going to name these slimmed down Oreos something similar to Thin Mints, they better taste just as good as Thin Mints, and unfortunately, they don’t. These don’t do a good job blending the chocolate and mint flavors, resulting in a wimpy, crumbly cookie that can’t live up to the Thin Mint or Oreo names.

Better just stick with the Girl Scouts to get your mint fix.

    6. Reduced Fat

Reduced fat may sound all fine and dandy. Who doesn’t like the sound of 30 percent less fat? And if it fits into your diet or dietary needs, then more power to you and these Oreos.

But, let’s be honest, if you’re going to have an Oreo, just have an Oreo.

Treat yourself to a full fat Oreo. You deserve it. Not these chewier, more artificial tasting things.

    5. Cookie Dough

    Nabisco/Amazon

While the Cookie Dough Oreos taste pretty decent, they’re on the list because well, they don’t taste anything like cookie dough. We love sneaking a scoop or two of cookie dough, and these Oreos seriously disappoint.

They taste more like a combination of stale caramel and coffee, which isn’t bad, but it’s not what we’d call good.

    4. Game Of Thrones Themed

Alright, this is a special case. We get all this hype, all this talking and tweeting about this legacy and how fulfilling and special it’ll be…and we’re left with disappointment.

These were just regular Oreos. Some of them had special designs, but you wouldn’t notice if you weren’t looking for it. We were so disappointed by these that we forgot to watch the final season of Game of Thrones. We assume it was better than these cookies, right?

    3. Peanut Butter

You know what goes well with crumbly, moisture-absorbing cookies? Moisture-absorbing creme.

That’s what we assume the thought process was behind Peanut Butter Creme Oreos. We like the idea of it, especially since it makes us think of Tagalongs, but reality is often disappointing.

We’re not looking for cottonmouth with our creme-filled cookies, thank you very much. Speaking of…

    2. Cotton Candy

    Oreo/Amazon

While some may love the sweet cotton candy flavor, in our opinion, it’s way too sweet. But, then again, cotton candy itself is way too sweet, but it feels okay when you’re eating it in fluff form. When it’s been compacted into a sugary creme sandwiched between two sugary cookies? That carnival magic is no more.

You may be able to take a trip down memory lane, but the Cotton Candy Oreos are definitely not one of our favorites.

    1. Caramel Apple

Only a small group of people actually liked this Caramel Apple Oreo. It’s like an artificial sour apple combined with a buttery cookie. Nice try Nabisco, better leave this Oreo flavor in the past.
