If you're a fan of campfires, chances are, you're also a fan of s'mores! But what do you do when you get the s'mores craving, but have no fire? Microwaves, ovens, and grills can come through for you and your desire to have s'mores!

Brief S'mores History Lesson:

S'mores are the best invention known to mankind since they first appeared in a Girl Scout guide book in 1927! The book is called Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts and it can be yours at the hefty price of $200! In the book, it includes a section for girl scouts who are overnight camping and what to include on the menu, with "Some More" on the list! The "Some More" section called for: 16 graham crackers, 8 bars of plain chocolate (broken in two), and 16 marshmallows. The instructions stated: "Toast two marshmallows over the coals to a crisp gooey state and then put them inside a graham cracker and chocolate bar sandwich."

Alright, now that you understand where the term "s'mores" came from, let's dive into the different types of ways you can make them!

The 4 Different Ways To Make S’mores

1. Traditional Campfire S’mores

Campfire s'mores are most ideal during those chilly nights in Fall! There's just something about a classic s'more by the fire with all of your friends that's so enjoyable and memorable!

What You'll Need:

  • Fire-pit
  • Roasting sticks
  • Bag of normal-sized marshmallows
  • Graham crackers
  • Chocolate bars

Instructions:

  1. Break your graham cracker in 2 halves.
  2. Place a piece of chocolate on one half.
  3. With your roasting stick, place your marshmallow on the stick and hold it over the fire.
  4. Now, depending on how burnt you like your marshmallows, keep roasting until you notice the marshmallow turning into a golden color.
  5. Once your marshmallow has been roasted to your desire, carefully remove the marshmallow from the stick and place on top of your chocolate.
  6. Place the other half of the graham cracker on top so that it looks like a sandwich and enjoy!
