In a high-speed blender, combine the coconut milk, rice milk, crushed ice, pineapple chunks, watermelon chunks, and dragon fruit drops. Blend until all is completely smooth.
Add 6 drops of royal blue AmeriColor soft gel paste to the mixture. Blend until the mixture becomes a deep shade of blue. Add more or fewer drops of blue, depending on your preference.
Homemade blue milk will be sensitive to heat and will melt quickly. Serve immediately in a frosted glassed or just keep it frozen. Enjoy!
You can find prepackaged frozen pineapple chunks at your local grocer in the freezer aisle.
Pre-cut watermelon chunks can also be found at your local grocer in the produce section in single cups.
Dragon fruit concentrated flavor drops can be purchased online.
Hold on to your light sabers! Blue milk doesn't actually contain any milk at all! Blue milk is a refreshing, slushie-like, dairy-free blend of both coconut and rice milk, with tropical flavors of pineapple, and hints of dragon fruit, watermelon, and melon flavors. Blue milk makes a terrific beverage for a hot Summer day in the theme parks - especially in the Florida sun!
If coconut and rice milk are not suited to your tastes, feel free to swap them out for dairy milk and vanilla ice cream for a creamier texture. Almond milk may be used in place of the coconut and rice blend as well.
If the thought of using blue dye makes you uneasy, there are other means of achieving a natural blue hue. Purchase organic dried butterfly pea Thai herbals blue tea. Allow the tea to be steeped in the coconut and rice milk before mixing in the blender. Remember to steep enough tea to obtain a rich deep hue.
Batuu's blue milk is a unique, plant based, dairy-free way to cool off as Summer comes to an end. The simple preparation and refreshing taste make this Disney treat an out-of-this-world success! Skip the lines at the milk stand at Disney Land and Walt Disney World and create blue milk, also known as Bantha milk yourself!
