If you're like most, you've probably heard through the grapevine that Big Mac sauce is simply Thousand Island or French dressing. We're here to debunk those rumors. Although both Thousand Island and French dressing will achieve similar results in both color and flavor to that of the Big Mac sauce, the dressings have an added ingredient that Big Mac Sauce does not have - ketchup.

According to McDonald's Executive Chef Dan Coudreaut, to make a simple homestyle Big Mac sauce, all you'll need are simple ingredients that may already be available to you in your kitchen. If you have the following in ingredients, you're all set; mayonnaise, yellow mustard, pickle relish, white wine vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Chef Coudreaunt explains that the paprika is not only for flavor, but it also adds a touch of color to your delicious creamy sauce.
