    Homemade No-Bake Granola Bars

    Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 3 1/2 cups quick oats
    • 2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
    • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
    • 1 cups honey
    • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
    • 3 tubes mini M&M’s, divided
    • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips

    Supplies

    • deep-sided baking sheet
    • cooking spray or butter
    • large bowl
    • microwave-safe medium bowl
    • wooden spoon
    • pastry scraper or knife

    Directions

    1. Lightly grease a deep-sided baking sheet with cooking spray or butter.

    2. In a large bowl, toss together quick oats and Rice Krispie cereal.

    3. In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, add creamy peanut butter and honey. Microwave at 30 second-intervals until melted, about 2 minutes. Add the vanilla. Using a wooden spoon, stir until well blended.

    4. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the quick oats and Rice Krispies. Using your wooden spoon, begin to blend the mixtures. You may need to use your hands to incorporate all of the ingredients, fully, as the mixture will become sticky.

    5. Add two tubes of the mini M&Ms, mini chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips to the granola. You may need to use your hands to mix.

    6. Transfer the granola to the prepared baking sheet. Using your hands, press the granola mixture onto the baking sheet. Spread the granola evenly throughout the bottom of the pan. Next, top the granola with the last tube of mini M&Ms for pops of color. Gently press the M&Ms in with your fingers, making sure they stick.

    7. Place the sheet of granola in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to harden. Once the granola is set, use a pastry scraper or knife to slice into bars. Enjoy!
