Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, and we can’t wait! Whether you’re hosting Mom for a Mother’s Day Brunch, or you’re going over to her house to pay her a visit, there’s no denying that cocktails are in order for this special occasion.

But what if you’re sick of the same old cocktails? What if you want to give her something more special than a glass of wine or a basic mojito? Luckily, we’ve got your back! We’ve compiled a list of some fun, unique cocktails that are just a touch more special than your everyday cocktails to help your mom feel appreciated. Treat your mom (and yourself) to some of these fun Mother’s Day cocktails.

    Sparkling Vodka Lavender Lemonade

Move over, Arnold Palmers! These sparkling vodka lavender lemonade cocktails are the perfect treat for a sunny Mother’s Day visit. What makes these cocktails so special is the fact that the lemon syrup is made by hand…just combine some lemon juice with agave! You’ll use some of this homemade lemon syrup and combine it with vodka, seltzer, a sliced lemon, and culinary lavender. Time to sparkle, baby!

    Hawaiian Margarita

This isn’t a regular margarita; it’s a cool margarita. If you can’t bring Mom to Hawaii for Mother’s Day, bring Hawaii to Mom! The main ingredients in this Hawaiian Margarita are tequila, triple sec, pineapple juice, lime juice, and coconut water. P.S. don’t skip the coconut water…otherwise these will just taste like pineapple margaritas! We recommend using silver or blanco tequila for these margaritas to help bring out the tropical, fruity flavors. Time to tropic like it’s hot, baby!

    Oreo Mudslide

Got a momma who’s obsessed with mudslides? Elevate her mother’s day by serving up a fun variation on this delectable drink by adding OREOS. This is a fairly simple cocktail to make, which is great, because that means you’ll spend less time making and more time drinking. Who can argue with that, right? For this Oreo Mudslide Cocktail, you’ll need vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s, vanilla ice cream, and Oreos. Combine the ingredients in a blender, and if you’d like, garnish with whipped cream (who would turn whipped cream down?!)

    Ginger Peach Moscow Mule

This yummy Ginger Peach Moscow Mule starts out as a regular moscow mule, but then it becomes so much more. Combine your vodka and ginger beer in a copper mug filled with crushed ice. Throw in some peach juice, some lime juice, and for an extra added touch…stick a peach slice on a skewer on top of the cocktail. Life’s a peach, isn’t it?!

    Bourbon Cherry Vanilla Sangria

When we think sangria, we think fruity, light, and airy. This Bourbon Cherry Vanilla Sangria is the exact opposite of that, but it’s absolutely delicious…and a hearty treat that your mom will absolutely enjoy for Mother’s Day! To make this sippable sangria, you’ll need some pitted cherries, vanilla bean bourbon, a bottle of cabernet sauvignon, simple syrup, and ginger beer. You’ll combine all of the above ingredients and pour them over ice. Let chill in the refrigerator before serving. Yum!

    Spiked Sweet Tea

Got a Southern Mama? Then, spiked sweet tea is the perfect cocktail creation for her! For this recipe, you’ll start by making a normal pitcher of sweet tea. If you need a reminder, you’ll combine water, black tea bags, sugar, baking soda, and some lemon in a pitcher. Let it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours, and then comes the fun part…spiking! To spike your sweet tea, add the bourbon of your choice to the pitcher, stir well, and serve. Sweet, sweet alcohol!

    Strawberry Mimosa

We’re nuts about mimosa variations, and this strawberry mimosa is no exception! This is one of the easiest drinks to make on this list, with only three ingredients: strawberries, champagne, and orange juice. Combine in a blender and serve, chilled, over ice. Yes, please!

    Pimm’s Pitcher

This drink has a lot of ingredients, but trust us when we say it’s worth the effort! The Pimm’s Pitcher is just a bigger, fruitier version of a Pimm’s Cup, and we all know that bigger is better. To make your Pimm’s Pitcher, you’re going to need some strawberries, a lemon, a lime, an orange, ginger ale, some cucumbers, and some Pimm’s No.1 Cup. You’ll mix all of the ingredients together, over ice, and then chill in the refrigerator before serving. We just know that your mother will love this pitcher…and be prepared to spend all day drinking it!

    Planter’s Punch Cocktail

Want a cocktail that’s fruity, refreshing, and easy to make? Look no further than the Planter’s Punch cocktail! This particular cocktail is made up of rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice, lime juice, and grenadine. All of these ingredients are just poured into a glass together, shaken, and enjoyed. Ah, sweet nectar!

    Lemosas

For yet another awesome variation of a mimosa, we present to you…a lemosa! A lemosa is basically just a mimosa with lemonade in place of the orange juice. This particular lemosa elevates itself with a homemade blueberry syrup made up of sugar, water, blueberries, and lemon zest. Um, hello!

    Lavender Pink Peppercorn Vodka Sodas

Does your mom like a little bit of spice in her life? Then, these lavender pink peppercorn vodka sodas are the perfect cocktail to serve her on Mother’s Day! To start, you’ll make the lavender pink peppercorn syrup by combining some sugar, dried lavender, pink peppercorns, vanilla bean, and water in a saucepan. Once the syrup is made, you’ll combine it with some vodka and club soda in your favorite set of cocktail glasses. Garnish with sprigs of fresh lavender on top, and voila! The spiciest cocktail for the spiciest of moms.

Now, comes the hard part: choosing which one of these cocktails to imbibe in on Mother’s Day! Or, you could make it an all-day affair and imbibe in several of them. Just saying…
