Some neighbors are annoying and need to be put in their place. These people share the secret revenge they did on their neighbors. Content has been edited for clarity.

    Blind Neighbor

“Many years ago, I was standing on one of my balconies when a taxi driver was obnoxiously blowing his horn out front and yelling for a blind man to ‘walk toward my voice’ from his own townhouse. That direction was toward traffic. My roommate and I went down and helped him to the taxi and scolded the driver for being so rude. I made the mistake of giving the blind neighbor my phone number so that I could give him a ride in the future.

Then the phone calls came… and never stopped. And when I gave him a ride, he would ask for various detours. I’m very calculated by nature, if he had told me beforehand where he wanted to go, it would be cool, but no… we’d be driving along and he’d throw in 2 – 3 extra places on each ride. And it came to be every day that he wanted rides… and he’d even call me to remind me to give him a ride, not that was ever late or backed out.

Finally I had enough, so I gauged how blind he was. His response was that he was ‘blind as a bat.’

A week or two after he said that I told him I had a job interview in the next city. A week after that, I told him I got the job and was moving away in a month. After I ‘moved away,’ it was strange walking by him in silence as he stood on the sidewalk.”

    Car Keys

“I lived in an apartment building with 16 units and only 8 parking spaces. The parking spaces were first come, first serve and the additional parking was several blocks away. My next-door neighbor had three cars parked by the building. He could have parked the one he used by the building and stored the other two in the other lot, but he wasn’t that considerate.

He would also listen to talk radio really loud for many hours a day, and several nights a week he’d come home drunk, mistake my door for his, fall over against the walls, kick my door when he went past at 3 am, and just be the most terrible neighbor possible.

One night I came home and he had left his keys in his lock. I grabbed them as I went past, figuring if he came out, I’d act like I had found his keys and was trying to return them. He didn’t come out, so when I got into my apartment. I pushed the alarm button on his key fob and the alarm on his crappy old van started going off. He stumbled down the hallway pushing the button on a second fob, I guess a backup set of keys. As soon as he shut it off, I set it off again. This continued for several hours. Sometimes I’d wait until I heard his apartment door close and then I’d set it off, knowing he’d have to walk back out to shut it off.

The next day, the fun started again and continued on a regular basis. When I’d go to work, I’d give my husband the keys so he could play the alarm game too. After a month, the neighbor was upset enough that he was pulling random wires under the hood. Finally, he moved the van to the back parking lot, and I tossed his keys onto his patio.”

    Date Gone Wrong

“For the last few years, I’ve lived next door to a very angry, lazy alcoholic who still lives with his mom at 40. He sleeps all day and drinks all night. It’s a common occurrence for him to be yelling and running around outside at 3 am.

Anyway, tonight I saw he was having a girl he’s never actually met coming over so I hoped on Facebook (I’m not a real Facebook user, I use a fake name and only follow news pages and never add anyone I know) and shot her a message saying I was a girl and I had previously met up with him and had a ‘scary’ experience.

I told her to mix her own drinks and be aware that he can flip on a switch from nice to scary/violent.-which I have seen him do and has done to me so I know its true. I also know a young woman who has told me he roofied her once but she was lucky enough to realize something was wrong and left the bar.

I have never pretended to be someone else. And I did lie to this girl because I have never personally been in his house like I said I was. I feel really guilty for lying to her. We did chat until she was able to leave his house, by faking sick.

I just wanted to make sure she wouldn’t be screamed at like all the other girls. And I mean screaming bloody murder right in your face. I didn’t want her to get things thrown at her. Or he tries to manipulate her or make her feel like a douchebag like him is all she deserved.”

All The Other Neighbors Hated Him Too

“There was a couple who lived in the apartment next to mine. He and his girlfriend would play loud music every night until 2 AM. Finally, I got the nerve to knock and ask him to turn it down. ‘My GF and I can’t sleep. We had to take pictures off the walls due to the shaking.’

He said, ‘Sure’ and then closed the door, only to turn the music back up really loud. I don’t think he knew we could hear him yelling, ‘FORGET THAT GUY, WE’RE PARTYING!’

I called the leasing office, and they said there was nothing they really could do. They left notices. I even knew other neighbors who had called the cops to ask him to turn it down. That was as far as they were willing to take it. I knew it was ineffective because there was nothing they could do that would really bother him. It was just an inconvenience, not something that was a ‘real’ threat to him. He could ignore a letter and just please a knocker momentarily.

He had this really expensive charger. It had all the bells and whistles, and you could tell he put a lot of money into it. He would do burnouts in front of the apartment some days. He always revved his engine while going through the parking garage, no matter the time. God help you if you were in there when he did, I swear it amplified the headache. He had a cloth he’d wipe the dust from the garage off with. It was a real show.

After months of this, I had enough. I did some scouting and found out the security cameras were decoy cameras in the complex. One night while they were partying especially hard, I went downstairs and put a blade between his sidewall and the seat of his low-profile custom tire. Something you couldn’t just plug.

The next morning, I awoke to the screaming of a man down the hallway. There was frantic angry shrieking. He slammed his apartment door and I heard banging and then a woman crying walking down the hall away from the apartment. We could hear him throwing things in his apartment, still screaming. I knew I hit him where it hurt. I like to imagine this might of been the first time in a long time he didn’t feel ‘untouchable.’

He made enemies out of all his neighbors, ignoring their pleas, and making their lives difficult. He had no one person to suspect. He was beset on all sides with people who would get petty revenge on him.

It worked. He didn’t play loud music for almost half a year after that. But that night I slept great. I knew what I did was criminal, but it felt great.”

    Annoying Kid

“I lived next to an annoying neighbor with an annoying kid. He was always going into my yard and taking fruit off my trees even though I have yelled at him multiple times.

Last Christmas they got him this kid’s version of a 4-Wheeler. It has a gas motor and everything, it looks like a suped-up Power Wheels. We lived in town and legally you aren’t even supposed to have a gas-powered bike on the roads or sidewalk.

It was loud and obnoxious. But the worst part about it was that he drove it around his parent’s house. Part of our yard and their yard are really close together and as a direct result, this little prick has caused a divot to form in the ground where he drives this thing.

I just spent the last year working to fix my yard and encouraging the grass to grow where it used to just be dirt and death. And then this boy came around with his 4-Wheeler and killed all the grass he drives over.

Last week, I came home from work and this 4-wheeler was in my driveway, on my property. I ran it right over with my truck and smashed it to pieces. This was around midnight when everyone was still sleeping.

The next day I got up super early and went to my family’s camp to work on my deer lanes, so I managed to get up before anyone noticed I ran it over.

I got back home around 6 PM. The mess had been cleaned up. When the mother noticed I was home she came outside and asked me about it. And I told her I had no idea what she was talking about.

She gave me a withering look, but there wasn’t much besides that she could actually do.”

    Neighbor’s Dog

Photo by Vladislav Tsankov on Pexels

“The person who lived directly across the street from me was a disgusting old dude. He was the epitome of the awful neighbor. He had a German Shepherd that he kept outside 24/7 and tied to a chain. The dog had maybe a circumference of about six feet in which to roam because the chain was so short, and it always spilled the small bucket of water. I probably filled that water bucket more than the dog’s owner did.

One day, I saw him become aggressive towards the dog because the dog had peed on the walkway and not in the grass. I marched over to his locked gate and began screaming at him to knock it off, or I would call the police on him. He told me to mind my own business and dragged the dog inside. I decided right then and there that by hook or by crook, I was getting that dog away from that prick.

I got in contact with a friend of a friend who ran a private no-kill shelter on a huge farm. She said she’d be more than pleased to take the German Shepherd and not question where it came from.

I waited about a week for the next time he left the dog outside while he was gone. I walked across the street, cut the padlock on the gate with bolt cutters, and freed the dog. He bounded into my car, and I began the 90 minute trek out into the country to take the dog to his new home. He fell in love with that farm from the moment he jumped out of my car when we arrived. The lady who runs the shelter absolutely adores him.

By the time I got back to my place, the neighbor was home. He saw me pull into my driveway and asked if I’d seen his dog.

I didn’t even look at him, and said, ‘Nope.’ Then I went inside.

The dog is doing great at his new home and is back to a healthy weight. The neighbor seemingly forgot about him after a few days, as I haven’t heard him ask anything further about the dog. Another neighbor told me that the prick assumes the dog ran away. You know, because dogs are capable of cutting a padlock and opening a latched gate. ”
