1. Magus
In an effort to create a Champion of Life to defeat Thanos, the Champion of Death, things go horribly wrong when the result is an evil future version of Adam Warlock, Magus. A villain so powerful the Avengers once had to team up with the Mad Titan himself to defeat him.
2. Nightmare
If the Doctor Strange movies continue going down the horror route, be on the lookout for Nightmare! The ruler of the dream dimension gains his power from bad dreams he generates in fearful humans. I personally wouldn’t mind an MCU-style Nightmare on Elm Street one bit!
3. Kang The Conqueror
Given how much the MCU has dove into the multiverse, it was almost guaranteed we would be meeting the Master of Time before long. Kang utilizes future weapons and technology to conquer past civilizations. He’s also very difficult to defeat because there are multiple versions of himself across different time periods. Lucky for us, we will see Kang The Conqueror in the upcoming film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!
4. Graviton
A villain who can mentally control gravity. Seems like he might be a problem in future MCU installments! He has battled both the Avengers and X-Men so how he will be implemented in the MCU is still up in the air but regardless, he’s going to be one of the heavy-hitters either team faces.
5. Black Cat
The Catwoman of the MCU and there honestly isn’t a better time to introduce her than after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sorry, Zendaya.
6. Mephisto
They really had us convinced we were going to see Mephisto in WandaVision. He’s the devil himself but Marvel didn’t want to introduce a character named Satan for obvious reason. He offers both heroes and villains what they deeply desire with dire strings attached. Another heavy-hitter they’ll likely save for a big movie!
7. Hydra Supreme
If you were disappointed Chris Evans wouldn’t be returning to the MCU after Avengers: Endgame, I have good news. Hydra Supreme is essentially just evil Captain America and I can almost guarantee he will cross paths with Sam Wilson in the future.
8. Enchantress
Known for her astonishing beauty, Enchantress most often squares off with Thor. Obviously, any foe of the God of Thunder has to pack some serious power. Be on the lookout for her to appear alongside other villains in the MCU adaptation of Secret Wars.
9. Count Nefaria
A classic case of a rich man who uses his money for evil. Except, in this case, he uses his vast fortune to purchase both mystical and technological powers for himself. He’s another heavy-hitter who typically requires the full team of Avengers to take him down so I would expect to see him in a major MCU film.
10. Dr. Doom
Victor Von Doom hasn’t gotten the appearance he’s deserved in the two live-action attempts at the Fantastic Four. Given the MCU’s track record with villains, it’s safe to say the third time will likely be the charm and there isn’t a villain more deserving. As is the case with great villains, his motivations are actually justified, he just goes about them almost entirely wrong. Expect Dr. Doom to be a staple in future MCU films!
11. Kraven The Hunter
Given how many previous villains they ran back in Spider-Man: No Way Home, they will likely want to introduce someone new in the next installment of the Tom Holland Spider-verse. One of the world’s greatest hunters, Sergei Kravinoff, would be a perfect villain for a smaller-scale Spider-Man movie.
12. Magneto
You can’t have the X-Men without Magneto and we’re inevitably going to get the X-Men in the MCU before we know it. To be honest, I feel sorry for whoever has to follow up Michael Fassbender in the role of Magneto. Maybe they should just let him do it again.
13. Super-Skrull
We’ve already been introduced to the shape-shifting alien race, Skrulls, in both Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The most dangerous of the Skrulls, Kl’rt, typically faces off against the Guardians of the Galaxy but also encounters Mister Fantastic and the Silver Surfer in the comics. With the Skrulls already appearing in the MCU, it’s a no-brainer we will get a Super-Skrull appearance.
14. Hobgoblin
Fashion designer, Roderick Kingsley took a Goblin formula to gain his powers and used his fortune to build his technology, becoming the Hobgoblin. Stop me if you’ve heard this before. This is the most likely next foe we will see Spider-Man face especially since they just used the OG Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, according to some fan theories, we might see a familiar face take on the mantle of the Hobgoblin.
15. Annihilus
Annihilus fears nothing but death itself. Using his cosmic control rod, Annihilus conquers planets which might pose a threat to his existence. For obvious reasons, Earth is one of those planets. Annihilus typically squares off with the Fantastic Four so look out for him after they are introduced into the MCU!
16. Chameleon
As the name suggests, Chameleon is a master of disguise and he is the first villain Spider-Man faces in the comics. Which makes him a very suitable candidate to face Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the literally more down-to-earth version of the webslinger we’re going to see in the next movie. Another interesting wrinkle is he is the half-brother of a previous entry on this list, Kraven The Hunter.
17. Galactus
This is your next MCU mega-villain. Galactus is immortal and consumes the energy in planets for sustenance making him one of the most powerful beings in the entire Marvel Universe. Galactus makes Thanos look like nothing and you saw how much it took just to stop him. On paper, Galactus is unbeatable and it’s going to take quite the army of heroes to stop him.
