We've all heard those strange cleaning hacks that people claim work. Some do and some definitely don't. These cleaning hacks use foods you have around the house to get out tough stains, sticky gum and "masterpieces" on the walls. And they actually work!
Used mashed up banana to polish tarnished silver.

Get rust off a knife by cutting an onion.

Scrub hard-to-remove stains from glasses with salt.

Use rye bread to get rid of pencil and crayon markings on the wall.

Spritz old clothes and furniture with vodka to get rid of the musty smell.

Use Tang to degrease your dishwasher. Just pour it where the soap would go and run an empty cycle.

To get rid of old coffee residue in your grinder, run white rice through it.

Clean wooden furniture with a cloth soaked in flat beer and dry with a clean cloth.

Get rid of fruit flies by leaving a few basil leaves at the bottom of a fruit bowl.
