1. “She Recognized Evil When She Saw It”

“One time, my daughter and I were driving from Texas to Minnesota. At the time, she was five years old. My daughter had always been overly friendly. She would oftentimes run up and hug total strangers, and we would always have to stop her. So when my daughter started acting strange around people, I took notice.
While driving somewhere in Iowa, I needed to stop and use the restroom. On the highway, I watched as a minivan passed me, immediately slowed down, then got right back behind me. Then, as I flipped my blinker on to exit at a rest stop, the van did, too. There was a semi-truck driving right next to me, and the truck driver seemed to grasp what I didn’t. The van had two men in it, and they were targeting my daughter and me.
At the rest stop, I parked next to a family that was walking their dog and having a picnic. My daughter and I exited our car, and she was walking on my left side. Suddenly, she came to a complete stop and a look of fear washed over her face. Then, she let go of my hand, moved to my right side, then grabbed my hand again. I looked at her face, and she was side-eyeing over to her left.
When I looked over, a creepy-looking man was pacing us on the other sidewalk. We continued, did our business in the bathroom, and walked out. I noticed the man was now hanging out in the snack area with the other man.
When my daughter and I walked back to our car, the mother from the picnic approached me with her dog. She started super friendly and chatty, then she lowered her voice.
She said, ‘When you were inside, those men were looking inside your car.’
The mother kept acting natural while I got my daughter into the car, but then I heard a truck revving.
When I turned, I noticed the same semi-truck from the highway moving slowly toward the rest stop exit. At that moment, it hit me. Those two men in the minivan were bad, and the truck driver was there to help me.
I jumped in my car while the mother yelled, ‘Go! You need to go!’
I threw my car in reverse and watched as the two men ran for their van. I floored it, but so did the semi-truck. The semi-truck driver waved for me to go in front of him, and he cut the men in the van off.
The best part was, there was construction on the highway, and the semi-truck kept those two creeps behind him and wouldn’t let them pass. It took about 50 miles before I could get a signal and contact the police. When I finally got ahold of them, they informed me they already knew about my situation and gave me a safe exit to take. The semi-truck driver managed to call the police and followed me to Burger King.
When I finally parked at the restaurant, the truck driver knocked on my window to give my daughter the kid’s meal he bought and talked to me until I calmed down.
To this day, I am thankful to the truck driver for looking after my daughter and me. My daughter loved every one, but this day, she recognized evil when she saw it.”
2. “There Was No Way It Was A Coincidence”

“20 years ago, my husband and I drove up to Chicago for a Blackhawks game. Before the game, we stopped to visit my husband’s older brother, my brother-in-law, who had been battling lung cancer. Although my BIL was sick, he seemed to be holding his own.
After spending the night at my mother’s house, we were ready to head home the next day. However, my young son continuously insisted on stopping by his uncle’s, my BIL’s, to see him again. Despite our misgivings about my BIL’s house being out of the way, my husband finally caved and dropped by.
As soon as we walked in the door, we were gratefully welcomed by our sister-in-law.
She informed us, ‘I’m so glad you stopped by. His health has taken a turn for the worse overnight.’
We spent some precious hours with my BIL, offering whatever comfort we could, before tearfully making the long drive home.
Later the same night, my husband got the dreaded phone call from our SIL. At that moment, my husband and I were grateful for our son’s insistence to go back over to his uncle’s. None of us realized it would be his last day on earth.
Afterward, I started believing kids have gut feelings about things adults don’t. There was no way it was a coincidence.”
3. “I Was Thankful Nothing Bad Happened”

“One time, my son and I went on a road trip. He was only 9 years old at the time.
He told me he had to stop to pee, so I pulled over so he could go to the bathroom on the side of the road. We were in the middle of nowhere, so finding an actual restroom wasn’t an option.
After I stopped, my son hopped out of the car and shut the door. Not even two seconds later, he yanked on the door handle and immediately jumped back inside.
‘I thought you had to go to the bathroom?’ I asked.
‘Just drive. Please just hurry up and drive,’ he replied, deeply concerned about something he saw outside.
The next morning, there was a local news story about two escaped prisoners in an old barn RIGHT where I pulled over to let him pee. I was so thankful nothing bad happened to my son when he got out of the car.
Though scary, I was almost glad it happened. It taught my son a valuable lesson about trusting his inner voice.”
4. “It Felt Like A Dark Shadow Over Me”

“When I was young, almost 50 years ago, my parents were looking to buy a new house. My mom and dad found a house that fit a lot of their criteria, so we visited. The entire time I was walking around the house, I felt like there was an angry person following right behind me. It truly felt like a dark shadow was cast over me the entire time. Super creepy, right?
Well, after we left and started driving away, I told my parents, ‘If you EVER buy this house, I won’t stay here alone at night. It’s too weird.’
My parent’s just thought I was being dramatic, but I knew in my heart that I felt a dark presence in the house.
About 20 years later, my mom reminded me of when we went to look at the creepy house.
She asked, ‘Do you remember when we left the light on in the attic, and the realtor asked me to go turn it off? Well, I did, and for the first time, I felt like something was chasing me down the stairs. You were right. I should have backed you up.’
A few years later, my mom ran into the realtor in town. He said the house had changed ownership three times in five years. Neither my mom nor I were surprised.”
