The cold flavorful drink is just the perfect treat not only on hot days, but pretty much every day. 7-Eleven’s Free Slurpee Day is a popular day in June that celebrates the company’s name, 7/11. Well now they’ve come up with a new day that mirrors the infamous Free Slurpee Day. November 7th (11/7) is Name Your Price Slurpee Day!
You can choose to pay one cent, one dollar or 100 dollars. Why would anyone pay 100 dollars for a slurpee? Because all, yes all, of the money raised on Name Your Price Slurpee Day will go to charity. The donations will go to Feeding America, a non-profit organization that works to feed hungry Americans. In the United States one in seven people struggles with hunger so this organization helps a lot of people.
So instead of a hot peppermint mocha, opt for a cold slurpee to help someone who is hungry and suffering. If you don’t want to risk the brain freeze, you can just donate instead. Whatever you choose to give, any and all donations will help feed the hungry people of America and what’s better than that?
