  • Who Killed Kim Sheree Howe In 1988?

    Someone Is Lying

“Kim Sheree Hall lived in Fort Pierce, FL in 1987 where she was married and had three children. She was the mother of two girls named Randie and Jill and a son, Nicholas. In her obituary in the paper, it says that Randie, Jill, and Nicholas were all living in Fort Pierce when their mother was killed. I believe that Kim was living in Cocoa alone while her ex-husband and children remained in Fort Pierce. By the end of 1987, Kim and her husband had divorced and Kim moved nearly 75 miles north to Cocoa, FL to start over and begin a new life as a newly single woman.

On March 22, 1988, at around 4:30 am, Kim filed a report at the Cocoa Police Department saying that she was being harassed and followed by person(s) unknown inside a vehicle. According to one story that I’ve read, the police ended up making contact with the occupants in the vehicle that had been harassing her, but there’s not any other information I’ve found about what became of the police talking to whoever was in the car. From approximately 4:30 am to 7:00 am, it’s unknown where Kim went after she left the police station.

Three hours later at 7:29 am, a 6-year-old boy and his 5-year-old brother, who lived on Howard Street in Rockledge, were walking across the dirt path between Howard Street and Santa Rosa Drive on their way to Gulfview Elementary and discovered Kim’s body along the path. She had been hit in the head with a large rock and assaulted. She was 30 years old. The boys ran back to their house to tell their parents what they had just seen. The distance from the path where Kim was found was about a mile away from the Cocoa PD and just a 3-minute drive from the station to the path.

There have never been any confirmed suspects in Kim’s murder. Kim’s ex-husband and the officers she was in contact with that night were all cleared in her case. Some believe that her murder might’ve been narcotic-related. She was a known narcotic user after her divorce, but I can’t find any info about what she could’ve been using when she was living in Cocoa. But there’s apparently no solid MO as to why Kim was murdered and I believe that if her murder doesn’t have anything to do with narcotics that it was likely a crime of opportunity or random killing. My only theory is someone or a group of people who were up to no good on that early Tuesday morning noticed this woman alone at night and took the opportunity to take a beautiful mother off of the Earth. Most likely, whoever was in the vehicle that night harassing Kim is responsible for her murder.

The aspect of Kim’s case that stuck out to me was that she was filing the police report and officers went and talked to the people in the vehicle but couldn’t provide any description of the people or the car. Not even the color, make, or model of the car and had no clue what the occupants looked like despite making contact with them. You would imagine that there would be some sort of description of the car or people so someone could say something like, ‘I know so and so drives this type of car and he was out until late near Rockledge on that night.’

Whether it’s making contact with the occupants or not remembering a single detail about them, I feel like the officers on duty gave some false information.”
