In 2023, hit television series including The White Lotus received the green light for renewal.
Originally airing in 2021, the second installment of The White Lotus took the internet by storm in October 2022. The series, starring Jennifer Coolidge, Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Sydney Sweeney, Haley Lu Richardson, and Alexandra Daddario — explores social satire surrounding guests and employees of the White Lotus resort.
One fan described The White Lotus as, “Equal parts comedy and drama, satire and soap opera, with a little mystery thrown in for good measure.”
The second season of The White Lotus didn’t catch viewers’ attention simply because of the series’ chaos and hilarity. Viewers’ also took notice of the second season’s new opening credit song.
The opening credit song, aptly described by one TikTok user as being, “A ‘yassified’ version of the season one theme,” sent viewers into a spiral. The song launched the television series into fame, inspiring social media creators to produce The White Lotus-inspired content.
The second season of The White Lotus has been confirmed for a third installment and is set to release in late 2023 or early 2024.
