What You’ll Need
- mixing bowls
- spatula or cooking tongs
- Chef’s knife
- whisk
- basting brush
- cast iron skillet
- measuring cups
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, boneless
- bunch of fresh chopped rosemary
- 4 cloves garlic
- ½ stick of butter, melted
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Step #1: Prep Ingredients
Remove rosemary leaves from woody stems, then rough chop until there’s 1 tbsp. Melt butter in microwave in small mixing bowl. Peel and mince garlic cloves. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Step #2: Start In The Skillet
Heat avocado oil in cast iron skillet over medium heat. While that’s warming up, sprinkle both sides of pork chop liberally with salt and pepper. Mix rosemary and garlic into melted butter bowl.
Step #3: Pan-Seared Perfection
In warmed skillet, sear chops for 3 minutes on each side until there’s a little bit of a crust. Douse with the garlic-rosemary-butter concoction.
Step #4: Beautifully Baked
Finish the pork chops in the preheated oven, about 12-15 minutes.
Step #5: Serve, and enjoy!
Add some more garlic-rosemary-butter to serve. Sprinkle once more with salt and pepper, and it’s time to delight in pork chop dining. This dish pairs well with a roasted green vegetable like asparagus or a great summer salad!
