Eggs are an awesome, protein-packed way to start your day. But on hectic mornings, they can simply take too long to make. Enter our three recipes for quick and easy microwave eggs. We'll show you how to poach, scramble, and hard boil eggs using just your microwave oven. Breakfast will never be the same again!
We already know how to make perfectly poached eggs using the stovetop, but it's time to tackle them another way, with a microwave oven.
Fill mug with water and vinegar.
Carefully crack egg into mug, then prick yolk with toothpick. Cover with plate.
Cook in microwave for 1 minute on high power. Depending on your particular model, you may have to cook a bit longer (10 seconds or so) if the egg white isn't quite done. Remove from water using slotted spoon, then enjoy on avocado toast or however you like a great poached egg!
Scrambled eggs help make a great on-the-go breakfast sandwich for busy weekdays. Make them even simpler with our microwave recipe!
Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper, and cottage cheese until thoroughly blended, at least a minute.
Microwave on high for 45 seconds, stir, then cook again for 30 more seconds.
Remove and enjoy on your favorite breakfast sammie, or with fresh strawberries and whole grain toast for a healthy meal.
Hard boiled eggs take ages to cook in the traditional stovetop fashion. We love this quicker take on a classic!
Carefully place eggs on bottom of bowl. Cover completely with water, making sure there's at least 1/2 inch of water over each egg.
Sprinkle 1 tbsp of salt over eggs and water; this helps to ensure that the eggs don't crack and explode while cooking.
Cook on medium power for about 9 minutes. If not done, cook for another minute. Remove from water, and let cool completely before enjoying. Use these beauties for breakfast, for deviled eggs, or as a quick snack!
