pumpkin spice ingredients

Now we can jump right into this delicious recipe!

Step #1: Combination Station

Begin by heating one burner to medium-high heat. Then, combine all ingredients except lemon juice into large saucepan and begin heating. Stir to mix, then occasionally until it begins to bubble.

Step #2: Simmer Down Now

Reduce heat to medium-low for a simmer for ten minutes, then low for five more minutes. Stir occasionally during this timeframe. While the pumpkin butter is cooking, use citrus juicer to juice lemon until you have 2 teaspoons of fresh-squeezed juice.

Step #3: Lovely Lemon

Next, mix in the lemon juice and stir until smoothly and evenly combined. Continue cooking for five more minutes on low heat.

Step #4: Taste And See

Finally, taste your concoction. To increase acidity, add a little bit more lemon juice. For sweeter flavor, add more sugar or syrup. To ramp up the pumpkin punch, consider a bit more pumpkin pie spice. For a thicker consistency, continue cooking on low heat for a few more minutes. Once you have your desired end result, remove from heat, transfer to mason jar and let cool. Secure with lid and store in refrigerator for up to one month.
